All Suite Yacht
With only 212 guests, a Star Legend cruise will make you feel like you're on board your own private yacht almost as soon as you step aboard. The sitting area of your spacious, newly refurbished suite gives you an expansive ocean view — making it a welcome retreat. When you're ready to make an appearance, the lounges, club, casino and library are waiting to be explored. Take some "you" time in the tranquil WindSpa . . . enjoy a dip in the pool . . . work off that decadent dessert in the Fitness Center . . . and, of course, you are always welcome to visit the Bridge to examine navigation charts with the Captain. Star Legend is large enough to pamper and entertain you, yet small enough to tuck into delightful tiny harbors and hidden coves that others can’t reach. Star Legend will undergo a comprehensive $8.5 million stem-to-stern transformation before her inaugural voyage. Take a tour to see all the beautiful updated spaces.
Day1: Rome, Italy: When in Rome … you cannot miss the opportunity to visit St. Peter’s Basilica and the Vatican, not to mention the Colosseum, the Forum, the Pantheon and so much more. Windstar’s landmark hotels are perfectly located for your excursions. Grand Hotel de la Minerve welcomes you to luxury in the very center of Rome, immediately across the street from the Pantheon itself. The Ambasciatori Palace Hotel, on one of Rome’s most famous and stylish streets, Via Veneto, features beautiful historic detail and furnishings.
Day2: Capri, Italy: There is so much to see on this captivating island — from the ruins of Roman villas to gorgeous private residences surrounded by flower-filled gardens. Wander along little lanes scented with the aromas of bougainvillea, plumbago, grapevines, and mandevilla. Don’t miss an opportunity to explore the famous Blue Grotto, with its intense azure interior and ethereal silvery light.
Day3: Giardini Naxos, Italy: Known for its beaches, amazing panoramic view of the bay and surrounding hills, and its small, but bustling fishing port, Giardini Naxos attracts many visitors. The seafront is lined with hotels, pubs, restaurants and pizzerias. Your Private Event here will feature a family-run winery with Sicilian wine tasting and lunch. And you’ll have time for an optional tour to the amazing archaeological ruins in Taormina including the amphitheater still used today.
Day 5: Kotor, Montenegro: This is one of Montenegro’s most beautiful bays, and the approach offers one breathtaking fjord-like view after another. Just when you’ve reached your fill of blues and greens, the bright red rooftops of the medieval town come into view. Now the real fun begins. The charming streets of Old Town remain car free, filled with 12th century Baroque palaces and Romanesque churches. For a fresh perspective climb to the fortress on the hill for a breathtaking vista.
Day 6: Dubrovnik, Croatia: While larger ships pass by, you anchor right beyond the famous walled city so you can admire its beauty with every glance. Tender ashore and step right into Old Town where no cars are allowed, just eons of history. Capture the exhilarating views on your camera — and in your memory. End your day at the Buza Café (if you can find it) watching bold divers leap off the cliffs into the crystalline sea."
Day 7: Split, Croatia: Split welcomes you with open arms, Mediterranean style, and a bustling harbor lined with busy cafés. Beyond, looms stately Diocletian’s Palace in the center of town. Within the palace walls, a majestic cathedral soars, surrounded by polished marble streets lined with every type of tempting shop. If you’re longing for a quiet respite, head for the western end of town for an easy stroll through a verdant mountain park.
Day 8: Rovinj, Croatia: Rovinj used to be a tiny island until the channel was filled in during the 18th century, so while the red terracotta roofs now spill inland, the Old Town is tidily self-contained. Hints of Italy are everywhere — in the signs, in the language, in the cuisine — thanks to having spent more than 500 years under Venetian rule. Romantic, quaint, and captivating, it’s Istria’s most beloved town.
Day 9: Venice, Italy: A highlight of your cruise is the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Venice - this most enchanting of cities, where quiet lagoons lead to astonishing churches, arched bridges over gondolier-traveled canals and inviting palazzo. The entire city, from the legendary Grand Canal to the magnificent Piazza San Marco to St. Peter’s Basilica, said to be the hiding place of the Holy Grail, is at your doorstep.
All meals in all venues at all times, including room service menu available 24 hours; all non-alcoholic beverages, including cappuccino, espresso, and other specialty non-alcoholic drinks; welcome cocktails at reception; all onboard entertainment; unlimited use of Fitness Center; unlimited use of all water sports equipment; informative nightly port talks and destination briefings.
