Itinerary

Day 1 | New York City, New York: The largest city in the United States, New York City sits at the mouth of the Hudson River and is made up of five boroughs – Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, The Bronx and Staten Island. It is the premier gateway for immigrants, with almost 800 languages spoken there. Full of attractions, its iconic sites include the Empire State Building, Times Square, Central Park, The Museum of Modern Art, the Statue of Liberty and The Metropolitan Museum of Art to name just a few.

Day 2 | Newport, Rhode Island: The seaside city of Newport is on Aquidneck Island, famous for the Newport Mansions of the late 19th century. Two of the most popular mansions are The Breakers and The Marble House, both owned by the Vanderbilt family. Sailing is extremely popular, with the America’s Cup frequently held here. Several soft-sand beaches offer respite for vacationers and delicious seafood comes straight from the ocean to your plate.

Day 2 | At Sea / Transit Cape Cod Canal: Seventeen-mile-long Cape Cod Canal is part of the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway. Construction began in 1909 and the canal was first used in 1914. At 540 feet wide, it is the widest canal in the world. Cape Cod Canal traverses the neck of land joining Cape Cod to the mainland and occasionally marine life like whales and dolphins can be seen frolicking in the waters. This transit is exclusive to small ships like ours.

Day 3 | Provincetown, Massachusetts: Affectionately known as P-town, Provincetown was the site of the landing of the Mayflower in 1620 and where the Pilgrims wrote America’s first constitution – “the Mayflower Compact.” This lovely seaside town is known for its beaches, the harbor, the large artists’ colony, and the tourist industry. Its narrow, vibrant streets offer a cosmopolitan mix of people, stores, and eateries. Sites to see include the towering Pilgrim Monument, Race Point Lighthouse, and the Provincetown Museum.

Day 4 | Bar Harbor, Maine: One of the best places to appreciate nature is found at Bar Harbor, with its stunning coastal beauty. Surrounded by Acadia National Park, with over 50 square miles of mountains, lakes, forests, soaring granite cliffs and amazing views, Bar Harbor’s laid-back atmosphere encourages relaxation and repose. Bar Harbor was the premier summer resort of the 19th century for some of America’s most powerful families like the Vanderbilts and the Rockefellers until the destructive 1947 fire. Visit the Abbe Museum, which showcases the Wabanaki Indians, the Dorr Museums of Natural History or the Bar Harbor Historical Society Museum.

Day 5 | At Sea

Day 6 | Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada: The capital of Nova Scotia was ranked the 4th best place to live in Canada back in 2012. It is a city with more pubs and clubs per capita than any other Canadian city and even one of the mayors was a brewmaster. The boardwalk on the waterfront follows the water’s edge and is lined with unique shops. Halifax is home to the longest running saltwater ferry and a 200-year-old restored fishing village. Be sure to find time to try fabled donair (pita, meat and sauce), the official food of Halifax.

Day 7 | Transit Canso Canal, Canada: The Strait of Canso separates Cape Breton Island from mainland Nova Scotia. The short Canso Canal links Chedabucto Bay to Northumberland Strait and operates from April to mid-December. Work first began on the causeway in 1953 and was completed in 1955. The Canal is 79 feet wide, 1,870 feet long and 32 feet deep at low tide. At the south end of the lock is the Canso Canal Bridge, a 308-foot long swing bridge that carried the Trans-Canada Highway and railway across the canal.

Day 8 | Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada: Charlottetown is the capital and largest city of Prince Edward Island where nearly half the population of the island resides.The picturesque city has a centrally planned downtown core of Victorian-era houses and building, walking trails and waterside boardwalks lined with craft and specialty shops, and restaurants with enticing local seafood and produce. Eleven National Historic Sites of Canada are located in Charlottetown including the Province House and the Confederation Centre of the Arts as well as being the inspiration for Anne of Green Gables.

Day 9 | Gaspe, Quebec, Canada: Four hundred miles northeast of Quebec City lies Gaspe, one of National Geographic’s Canada’s 50 Places of a Lifetime. This wonderful wilderness area is home to four national parks; Perce Rock; North America’s largest gannet colony; lighthouses and remarkable historic sites. Visit the modern cathedral built almost entirely of wood and make sure to try some of the local specialties such as French-styled lobsters and game.

Day 10 | Saguenay Fjord Scenic Cruising: The beauty of this secluded area is a well-kept secret. Saguenay Fjord is the southernmost fjord of North America that is both navigable and inhabited. Cruise through the 62 miles of waterway to find acres of beautiful forest, rugged mountain cliffs as high as 1,148 feet, and stunning natural scenery.

Day 11 & 12 | Quebec City, Quebec, Canada: A focal point of French culture and one of North America’s oldest and most beautiful cities, Quebec City sits above the St. Lawrence River on a rocky spur with 328-foot cliffs. This French-speaking city was established in 1608 with the only fortified city walls remaining in America north of Mexico, and declared a UNESCO World Heritage City. The Old Town is packed with museums, cobblestone streets and mansard-roofed houses begging to be explored. Other historic attractions include the Fairmont Chateau Frontenac, Notre Dame Basilica, Battlefields Park and Terrasse Dufferin.

Day 13 | Montreal, Quebec, Canada: Montreal is full of interesting architecture and is considered by many to be the creative capital of Canada. Named a UNESCO City of Design, Montreal attractions include Basilique Notre-Dame, Stade Olympique, Canal de Lachine, Old Montreal, and Habitat 67. Enjoy a meal at one of the terraced cafes of Plateau Mont-Royal and make sure you try Kamouraska lamb, Arctic char and poutine.

Food and Dining

All meals in all venues at all times, including room service menu available 24 hours. All non-alcoholic beverages, including cappuccino, espresso, and other specialty non-alcoholic drinks are offered to guests. There is also a welcome cocktails reception as well.

Onboard Activities/Events

Guests are allowed unlimited access to use all water sports equipment and there is also on board entertainment. A casino, library/business center, lounge, pool, two whirlpools, a veranda, a watersports platform, and a bridge are also available for guests at their leisure.

Gracious Balcony and Ocean View Suites offer stylish comfort and ocean views that welcome you into the 277 square foot space. Enjoy a luxurious soak in your full-size tub or an invigorating shower, then wrap up in your waffle-weave robe and slippers, savor a treat from the fresh fruit bowl, or simply stretch out and enjoy the fresh flowers.
Classic Suites allow you to relax in a spacious 400-530 square foot space with your own living area that offers beautiful views from the forward-facing window and French doors onto your private veranda. Two spacious closets give you plenty of room to unpack.
Owner’s Suites include 575 square feet of space and offers a separate living room and dining room areas. A veranda, two flat-screen TVs and DVD players, and a full master bath and separate powder room indulge you in spacious comfort.
