Begin and end your journey in the exciting city of San Francisco, abounding in history, from the Gold Rush era of the mid 1800s and the infamous 1906 earthquake, to the flower power movement of the 1960s and the birth of Silicon Valley in the 70s. Led by our knowledgeable local guide, explore the culturally and ethnically diverse waterfront community of Stockton and savor its local fare on a walking exploration to local farm stands and markets. Visit Sacramento, California’s capital, and explore its underground city. Travel to the Napa Valley region and stop at a local vineyard to taste the finest varietals. Return to the Golden City and explore its many treasures, from the Golden Gate Bridge to Alcatraz Island and Ghirardelli Chocolates. Along the way, learn about California wine culture and the process of making wine with our onboard expert as you sip, savor, and sample regional flavors. Itinerary

Day 1 | San Francisco | After boarding the ship, enjoy a festive Welcome Reception, followed by an afternoon of cruise the bay viewing the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz Island and Treasure Island.
Day 2 | Stockton | Discover the city's history at Haggin Museum learning of the indigenous tribes, Spanish influence, Gold Rush and Industrial Eras.
Day 3 | Sacramento | Cruise along the largest river in California, the Sacramento River. Continue along the San Joaquin watershed admiring the passing landscapes from your private balcony. This afternoon, enjoy a guided city excursion and visit to the sate capitol.
Day 4 | Sacramento | America's Farm-to-Fork Capital has thousands of small, family-owned farms throughout the valley. Explore its farm-fresh restaurants, plentiful farmers market and home-grown breweries. Explore Old Sacramento's waterfront, State Historic Park and learn of California's Gold Rush history.
Day 5 | Napa | Begin with sunrise yoga and a fitness class as you cruise along the scenic Napa River with an eye out to spy Snowy Egrets, Great Blue Herons, otters, beavers, deer, rabbits and turtles. In the afternoon, visit a Napa Valley winery to learn about the wine making process and sip local varietals.
Day 6 | Day of Cruising | Cruise from Napa Valley to the San Pablo Bay, a nursery area for marine fish species including striped bass and salmon. Lounge with fellow travelers, enjoy a good book or sit back and admire the views from the sun deck.
Day 7 | San Francisco | Visit the city's top sites, iconic landmarks and eclectic neighborhoods, venture across the Golden Gate Bridge with a stop in Sausalito and take in the breathtaking views. In the afternoon, travel by ferry to Alcatraz Island and conclude the day with a delightful dessert at Ghirardelli Square.
Day 8 | San Francisco | End your journey in this vibrant city, after an onboard breakfast, disembark and enjoy the rest of your time at leisure.

An expansive private balcony is a perfect place to savor a calm afternoon or to enjoy breakfast as the sun rises over the riverbank.
Veranda Suite Private Balcony | With a generous 405 sq. ft. of relaxing space, each Veranda suite includes a private walk-out balcony to enjoy the panoramic views. Considered one of the finest staterooms on any cruise ship, guests will enjoy full-size bathrooms and large living area with sliding glass door.
AAM Private Balcony | Located on the fourth deck, these spacious staterooms feature commanding views of the passing river landscapes. At 350 sq. ft., there is plenty of room to enjoy the tasteful comfort of your surroundings. These staterooms have all the comforts of a fine hotel and feature floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors with a private balcony to offer panoramic views from every angle.
AAC Private Balcony | AAC staterooms are conveniently located on the third deck and offer all of the comforts of a fine hotel. Complete with a private balcony and floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors, these staterooms provide spectacular views of the the surrounding landscape. At 316 sq. ft., these staterooms also offer a sitting area, desk and full-size bathrooms.
AAL Private Balcony | AAL staterooms can be found on the second deck and offer a luxurious 300 sq. ft. of living space. Each room is equipped with plush seating, full-size bathroom, and a private balcony with large sliding glass doors that offer great views of the surrounding scenery. These staterooms are the epitome of comfort and relaxation.
AAR Private Balcony | AAR staterooms on the main deck offer complete comfort with approximately 275 sq. ft. of living space. Enjoy a full-size bathroom, large picture window, and door leading out to a furnished private balcony. These staterooms also feature a large sitting area, ideal for getting together with friends.
