Day 1 | Rio de Janeiro, Brazil: Nicknamed the Marvelous City for its contagious energy and spirited vibe, this cultural capital welcomes travelers to discover its history, dazzling landscapes, modern architecture and wealth of multi-cultural arts, music and dance, creative foodie scene and prismatic festivals. On the shores of Guanabara Bay with a fauna-filled backdrop of the Tijuca National Park, infamous Copacabana and Ipanema Beaches, Sugarloaf Mountain and the iconic Christ the Redeemer monument on Mount Corcovado, discover the wonders of Rio. Following embarkation, delight in a welcome reception as you set sail this evening.
Day 2 | Buzios, Brazil: Arrive this morning in this vibrant upscale resort town, located on a peninsula on Brazil's Costa del Sol, noteworthy for its idyllic beaches, intriguing historic neighborhoods, and thriving dining scene. Swim and snorkel the clear waters of Praia da Tartaruga or immerse in tranquility along the red sands and sea-green waters of Praia do Forno. Stroll the cobblestone pathways brimming with shops, bars, cafes and galleries along the colorful Rua das Pedras, or sip a Caipirinha drink as you delve into the rich culinary landscape savoring mouthwatering cuisines with a melting pot of influences and flavors.
Day 3 | Paraty, Brazil: A picturesque town nestled against steep verdant mountains on the Bay of Ilha Grande, this former gold rush town is a paradise of small islands, secluded beaches, quaint Portuguese colonial remnants and famous for its cacha distillery. A haven for artists, discover galleries and artisan workshops alongside family-owned cafes and acclaimed restaurants in the historical center. Nature lovers will delight in the breathtaking waterfalls, forest trails and wildlife of Bocaina National Park or the geological wonder of Cachoeira da Pedra que Engole, and its natural water slide.
Day 4 | Ilhabela, Brazil: Meaning beautiful island in Portuguese and the largest island of the Ilhabela archipelago, discover a spectacular tropical paradise with traditional island culture, spectacular beaches, lush mountains and rainforest. Considered a biosphere reserve by UNESCO, experience a day of hiking the hills, water sport adventures, or relaxing exploration. Seek out secluded beaches, waterfront dining and the Submarino Ecological Sanctuary on Ilha das Cabras for a snorkeling and diving opportunity amid vibrant marine life and centuries-old sunken shipwrecks.
Days 5 - 6 | At Sea: Guests can enjoy the next two days aboard the World Navigator with pampering spa treatments, relaxing on deck, savoring world-class cuisine or socializing with fellow passengers as you cruise to your next destination.
Day 7 | Punta del Este, Uruguay: A walkable peninsula with an international appeal, akin to the vibe of Miami or St. Tropez for its rich cosmopolitan energy, ultra-modern architecture, magnificent beaches, elite resorts and glamorous nightclubs, Punta del Este beckons artists, celebrities, and travelers alike. Bounded by shoreline skyscrapers and the Atlantic Ocean, shake the hand of the giant La Mano sculpture on surf-ready Bravo Beach as you explore the past and present at upscale museums, high-end shopping outlets, tantalizing dining venues and wine-tasting options, plus year-round cultural and entertainment events.
Day 8 | Montevideo, Uruguay: Your cruise ends this morning after a leisurely breakfast spread before disembarkation in the laid-back capital city of Montevideo. Discover the importance of Plaza de Independencia, its colonial architecture, cobbled streets and Art Deco charm, and stroll along the Rio de la Plate La Rambla promenade. Sip a traditional herbal tea or artisanal beer as you dine at the Mercado del Puerto. Then, continue with a post-cruise hotel stay or journey to your next destination
Celebrate dining traditions with a variety of global cuisines, including special Portuguese-style fare, and featuring indulgent breakfast and lunch buffets, made-to-order dishes, and ever-changing multi-course dinner menus. Guests may dine in any venue with anyone, including 24-hour room service. Afternoon High Tea is served in the Dome Observation Lounge, savor quick bites at Paula's Pantry and enjoy 24-hour bar service with unlimited beverages, including fine wines, spirits and craft beers, with specialty canapes. There is also a champagne welcome reception and signature Apres Sea celebration following exciting shore excursions.
Guests have access to use the marina for water sports directly from the yacht on select voyages and can engage in onboard lectures and demonstrations from curated experts, historians, photographers and more. A pool, whirlpool, sundeck lounge, pool, and whirlpool are also available for guests to use at leisure.
Explore beautiful South American landscapes and wondrous sea waters with sightseeing safaris and shore landings by Zodiac, led by expert field guides. A complimentary Atlas Ocean Voyage backpack and reusable water bottle is included, with the use of walking sticks and binoculars as needed.
After an exciting day of exploration, retreat to your personal haven for rest and relaxation in luxurious serenity. All suite and stateroom accommodations offer a sumptuous queen size bed with luxurious Portuguese cotton linens, plush terry bathrobe and slippers, spacious wardrobe, walk-in mosaic glass rain shower and body jets, marble spa bath with luxe L'OCCITANE bath amenities, wall-mounted flat screen TV with infotainment system, Nespresso coffee and Kusmi teas, and fully stocked minibar.
One-Bedroom Suites range from 382 to 465 square feet with an oversized private balcony with teak furnishings and floor-to-ceiling sliders, living room with sofa and vanity, walk-in closet and wardrobe, butler service and expanded room service.
Balcony Staterooms offer 270 to 300 square feet including seating areas with a sofa and TV, plus a Juliette balcony with top-drop electric windows in the Horizon and Horizon Deluxe Staterooms or walk-out balcony with teak furnishings in the Veranda and Veranda Deluxe Staterooms.
Oceanview Staterooms provide 183 square feet of sophisticated comfort with panoramic views, spa bath and sitting area.
SeaSpa by L'OCCITANE is available to guests who wish to take time and relax after an adventurous day of exploration in Brazil and Uruguay. In addition, there is a fitness studio and running track on board for guests who wish to continue their workout regime while cruising.
