Jiufen Experience

During the Qing Dynasty, the small town of Jiufen only had nine houses, then gold was discovered and the town grew quickly. Mining continued through 1971, when it seemed time stood still and the town fell in to disrepair. In 1989, the movie A City of Sadness was released and captured people's hearts. Now, Jiufen Old Street offers observation decks to see Keelung Mountain and Island, lanterns lighting up the street, shops, cafes and much more.

Then, delight in the natural beauty of the Shifen Waterfall and Shifen Old Street laden with railroad tracks to experience the passing of the train as lanterns with your handwritten wishes are released to the skies.

Taipei City Discovery

An informative day of culture, heritage and tradition begins at the Baroque Presidential Office building, followed by a stop at Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall and spiritual Longshan Temple. Continue to the observation deck of Taipei 101 - one the world's tallest skyscrapers, filled with floors of designer brands, before viewing the exquisite artifacts in the National Palace Museum.
