Room Details

Manor House | The Manor House is the beating heart of the estate and has been ever since the first Earl of Carrick and his wife Juliet first made it their home in 1750. Step through its pillared entrance way and you enter a place out of time: lovingly preserved for the present-day; intimately updated in the most faithful manner. A sense of romance – of people and place and time turned into something truly special – touches every inch of the Manor House, and nowhere is this more apparent than in the 32 unique bedrooms. While many of them share their captivating views of the River Nore and the paddocks of the Ballylinch Stud, each one is individually designed and named after a famous figure connected with the area or estate.
Hunter's Yard | Hunter’s Yard takes the ideals and attention to detail that have made the Manor House so special for so long, and channels them into an entirely new type of residence. The 93 bedrooms that make up Hunter’s Yard offer a haven-like retreat from the everyday for the whole family; a luxurious habitat for winding down from time spent exploring the estate or playing on the golf course. Every room offers the most inviting of modern amenities and furnishings, all wrapped up in a light and airy ambience.

Villa Description

2 Bedroom Chauffeurs Lodge (1,000 sq ft) is superbly located beside the Manor House Hotel in the heart of this wonderful estate. It is a detached two-story two bedroom house of exceptional charm and character which has been extensively refurbished and modernized in recent years. This property comprises an entrance hall, living room, fitted kitchen and dining room, utility room, cloakroom with washroom; upstairs are two double bedrooms, each with ensuite and fitted wardrobes and front garden.

Restaurants

Lady Helen | Take a seat in the Michelin-starred Lady Helen dining room of The Manor House, and the first thing you take in will likely be its stunning pastoral views. It is a fitting setting of the scene, given that many of the dishes are made using the highest-quality produce, sourced from the estate and the nearby farms that stretch out just beyond the running river and rolling pastures that lie beyond the windows. These carefully and seasonally chosen ingredients provides the starting point for a culinary experience that could only be created through the visionary lens of Executive Head Chef, John Kelly.
The Hound | Today the Hound restaurant offers a relaxed dining experience that champions high-quality local source produce. With a commanding view of our Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course, it makes for the perfect place to unwind with family and friends – whether you want to relive a memorable day on the links or are quite happy to appreciate the course’s fineries from afar.
Afternoon Tea | Something so sumptuous, it deserves to be savored in the most fitting of surroundings. We aim to offer exactly that in Manor House and – if weather permits – the tranquil surrounds of the Manor House gardens. In each picturesque setting, we serve up a delicately delicious menu of finger sandwiches, homemade scones, jams, macarons, cakes and signature beverages.
Private Dining | The perfect destination for special occasions and celebrations, Mount Juliet Estate offers fabulous locations for an exclusive private dinner or decadent celebrations.

Recreation

Pool | Slip beneath the surface and clear your head in Mount Juliet’s beautiful 15-metre swimming pool. Housed in a stylish pool house, where natural light floods in, you’ll find a tranquil and refreshing place to swim and relax.
Garden and Grounds | Follow a woodland trail with a picnic in hand, or simply sit a while. Listen to birdsong or inhale the fragrant notes of flowerbeds bursting with colour. However you choose to enjoy our exquisite gardens, we’re certain you’ll relish the pleasure of the many historic secrets and styles, many dating back to the 18th century.
Equestrian | MJ Equestrian offers horse lovers a truly memorable experience with a state-of-the art equestrian centre and world class facilities.
Archery | From budding little Robin Hoods to championship level bowmen, we welcome archers of all ages and abilities to practice this ancient art amidst the evocative, picturesque surroundings of Mount Juliet Estate.
Fishing | Two significant rivers within its walls: the famous River Nore and its tributary, the King’s River. Both rivers have supplied the tables of Mount Juliet Estate, with plentiful catches of salmon and wild brown trout, through the years.
Falconry | Falconry experiences take the form of various walks through the estate with our expert falconers. Not only will you have the chance to witness the profoundly close relationship that exists between falconer and falcon, you will also have the chance to handle the birds yourself.

Golf

Both water and sand play a part in the types of challenges that have come to define Jack Nicklaus’ outstanding golf courses, and our 18 holes embody his ambitious, mischievous approach to course design. Five lakes have been constructed, which enhance six of the holes, while over 80 bunkers have been strategically placed throughout. Take on the third hole from the championship tee, for example, and you will have to contend with 180 yards of carry over a shimmering lake. The 11th, 13th and 14th holes, meanwhile, might be among the course’s most beautiful to look at, but these greens are heavily guarded by bunkers and water. You arrive at perhaps the course’s most unusual feature on the 16th, where you will find a walled green almost entirely surrounded by a bunker.

Spa

The treatment menu offers a blissful selection of soothing spa treatments, destined to unwind and invigorate you. A mobile-free zone, our luxurious Treatment Suites allow you the peace and privacy to focus on yourself and your wellbeing. Offering both traditional and alternative health treatments, massages and alongside a range of uplifting beauty treatments.

Fitness

Located in and around Hunter’s Yard, our Health Club offers a heated 15 metre swimming pool, steam and sauna rooms and treatment rooms. Together with our new gym and enchanting gardens, you’ll find the perfect combination of activities, exercise, and wellbeing options.

Kids Program

Mount Juliet Juniors clubs are open to children aged between five and junior school leaving age, or to children from the age of 12 and up. They are open to families staying on the estate or, during mid-terms and summer holidays.
