Room Details

Many of the guest rooms boast high ceilings, crown molding and traditional decor. All of these French Quarter hotel rooms are non-smoking and a few rooms on one floor are pet friendly.
Guestrooms and suites include a Keurig Coffee Brewer, safety deposit box, refrigerator, Wi Fi access, LCD HD TV, iron with ironing board, hairdryer, plush robes, iHome alarm clock and marble and granite bathrooms.
Preferred Rooms are the largest guest rooms and are available with a king bed or two double beds. Most of the Preferred Rooms feature views of the Mississippi River or the French Quarter.

FJ Monteleone Suite is named after Frank Monteleone when he assumed his father’s legacy in 1913. Fifteen years later, he added the 200 room section where this suite is located, at the same time successfully steering the hotel through the Great Depression. His namesake suite, the largest, is dedicated to his memory. The FJ Monteleone Suite offers a luxurious king bedroom and granite bath with Jacuzzi tub and glass shower. This New Orleans luxury suite has a vast parlor with panoramic views of the Mississippi River. The suite also features a sofa bed, plasma television, wet bar, and many other amenities. Additionally, the FJ Monteleone Suite includes an adjacent office setup with fax machine.

Truman Capote Suite is named after Truman Capote who was fond of telling the press that he was born inside Hotel Monteleone. In fact, the hotel assisted his mother with transportation to Touro Hospital, where he was actually born. Overlooking the French Quarter, this beautifully appointed suite reflects Capote’s personality. The one bedroom suite offers a king size bed and a comfortable parlor with a dining table with four chairs.
Ernest Hemingway Suite named after Ernest Hemingway for the fact that he stayed at Hotel Monteleone and mentioned the Carousel Bar & Lounge in his short story, The Night Before Battle. So, it is fitting that the Hemingway Penthouse be located in the section of the hotel that once housed the Union Troops. This unique suite with dual balconies offers both City and French Quarter views and is adjacent to the rooftop pool and fitness center. The penthouse main bedroom has a king bed, while the optional connecting guest room is a preferred room with two double beds. The marble and granite bathroom includes a Garden tub and separate glass shower.
