Mozart was married beneath its towering steeple, and if you climb the 343 steps you can enjoy breathtaking views over the city. The nearby Goldenness Quartier sits among the Baroque buildings of the UNESCO listed Innere Stadt, so you can spend the rest of the morning admiring the architecture and exploring the flagship stores of Prada, Louis Vuitton or Alexander McQueen.
Dating from the 16th century, the expansive Naschmarkt food market has stalls and casual restaurants where you can sample local specialties or enjoy a delicious lunch. Stroll over to the museum quarter to view the work of great Austrian artists like Egon Schiele and Gustav Klimt at the Leopold Museum, or cutting edge contemporary creations at the eye catching Mumok. Afterwards, visit the nearby Neubau district to browse boutiques filled with stylish designer fashion and homeware.
End your day with an evening performance at the Vienna State Opera or Wiener Konzerthaus, both within walking distance of the hotel.
